SIIL Partners with World-Renowned Educational Platform edX
Swiss International Institute Lausanne (SIIL) has signed a partnership agreement with edX, the globally recognized online learning platform.
As part of this agreement, more than 150 courses from top-tier universities and leading companies across 11 countries have been translated into Russian specifically for SIIL students.
Our students will have the exclusive opportunity to access Russian-language courses from world leaders such as Harvard University and IBM.
Access to edX Elective Courses
For New Students
Starting February 2025, all educational programs will be supplemented with 10–14 elective courses from the edX platform. Students who enroll and begin their studies between December 2024 and January 2025 will be granted access to these courses in February 2025.
For Current Students
Starting February 2025, approximately 10 edX elective courses will be integrated into every educational program. Current SIIL students will be able to access these courses for an additional fee.
Access to Optional edX Courses
For New Students
New students will have the opportunity to study more than 150 additional courses developed by global leaders in education and industry.
For Alumni
Graduates will have the opportunity to continue their education on the edX platform and complete selected optional courses as SIIL alumni:
- 10 courses within their completed field of study;
- The full catalog of 150+ courses.
Additional Semesters and ECTS Credits
To obtain a Bachelor’s degree at SIIL, students must earn 180 ECTS credits, and 90 ECTS credits for a Master’s degree.
If you require 240 credits (for a Bachelor’s) or 120 credits (for a Master’s) to meet specific national requirements in your country, SIIL provides the option to pay for additional semesters. This ensures your degree aligns with the academic standards of your chosen region.
