Learning Process and Formats

Studying at SIIL takes place through our proprietary e-learning platform, my.siil.ch. Students gain access to a wide range of learning materials and assignments, including video lectures, reading materials, online resources, and coursework.

Students manage their programs through a convenient personal dashboard on the website, as well as via the institute’s mobile app — allowing them to study theory, complete tests, and communicate with their mentor.

SIIL’s online programs include mandatory webinars with instructors, as well as final examination interviews.

The combination of independent study followed by discussion with a lecturer helps optimize the learning process and deepen understanding.

Each student at the Swiss International Institute Lausanne is assigned a dedicated academic advisor who supports them throughout their studies.

Advisors help students navigate the platform, schedule webinars at convenient times, and provide reminders about tests and exams to ensure steady academic progress.

Knowledge in each discipline is assessed in three stages. At every stage, instructors evaluate both the student’s understanding of the material and the effectiveness of their independent work.

Students can study from anywhere in the world. The learning process follows a structured schedule, which is essential for maintaining discipline in a self-paced environment.

SIIL has a partnership with edX, giving students access to courses from leading universities and companies such as Harvard and IBM.

More than 150 courses from top institutions across 11 countries have been translated into Russian specifically for SIIL students.
