History of the Institute
SIIL's stated goal is to offer high-quality higher education programs to its students.
SIIL was founded in 2019. SIIL's vision is to integrate teaching and learning.
Through its teaching system, it helps harness educational potential and address skills shortages through its degree programs, particularly in remote areas located far from developed cities and educational institutions.
SIIL's development can be divided into three successive stages. During its founding period, from 2019 to 2020, SIIL acted as an intermediary or subsidiary institution, creating courses in partnership with foreign universities, accessible to students in Switzerland and abroad.
At that time, curricula were only available in Russian.
The second phase between 2021 and 2022 was characterized by the creation of the first in-house programs and the gradual elimination of the mediator's role. To accomplish this task, SIIL relied on a qualified faculty recruited from various countries.
Since 2022, SIIL has entered a new phase, characterized by the further development of its own degree and further education programs, improvement of the languages of instruction, a new management structure with a growing academic staff, and significant improvements to quality assurance procedures, confirming the quality of education with eduQua and QS Stars certificates.
