The course
This preparatory course is delivered by SIIL and is designed for international candidates preparing for the Swiss federal exam. It runs over 24 months (4 semesters) for a total of 274 teaching hours (92 h of pre-recorded content + 182 h of live online sessions), in a blended format alternating between pre-recorded modules and live online sessions. The SIIL preparatory course fee for the full 4 semesters is EUR 8’000. This does not include the federal exam fee, which is set and collected separately: it is paid directly by the candidate to the responsible examining organisation, not to SIIL, and is due at a different point in the process (after admission to the exam is confirmed). A note on all four programmes
None of these preparatory course fees include the federal exam fee. The federal exam is organised and invoiced directly by the responsible examining organisation (ICT-Formation professionnelle Suisse, or ICT-Formation professionnelle Suisse / Société suisse des employés de commerce for DCS) — never by SIIL. Candidates pay this fee themselves, directly to that organisation, once their admission to the exam is confirmed.
