SIIL receives IAAR accreditation

The Swiss International Institute Lausanne (SIIL) has received institutional reaccreditation from the Independent Accreditation and Rating Agency (IAAR) for a period of three years. This is the second time that the institute has successfully undergone the international accreditation. SIIL is also included in the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR).

IAAR is one of the leading international accreditation agencies in the field of quality assurance in education. The agency is included in the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR) and is a full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).

The main areas of activity of IAAR are:

  • international institutional and specialized (program) accreditation of higher, professional and continuing education, scientific organizations and international schools;
  • development of standards and guidelines for quality assurance in education;
  • diffusion of international best practices in quality assurance in education;
  • training and professional development of experts in quality assurance;
  • participation in scientific research and international projects;
  • organisation and holding of international conferences and forums;
  • development of scientific, methodological and informational publications;
  • rating studies in the field of higher and postgraduate education.

Universities that have been accredited by IAAR offer students the opportunity to enrol in master’s and doctoral programmes at other foreign educational institutions, as well as to find employment in their field not only in their home country but also abroad.
